Cameo is fortunate to have secured the experience and talent that Judy brings with her from the “land of the long white cloud”. A former principal of her own real estate practice in New Zealand, Judy’s depth and breath of experience in our industry has added a welcomed dynamic to the Cameo Team.

Born in Christchurch, Judy moved to Auckland in 1972 and began a solid and varied career in Finance & Marketing. She obtained a Diploma of Business Studies from Massey University which launched her into a number of very successful businesses of her own.

Her entrepreneurial spirit and natural business acumen saw her first take up ownership of two (2) Four Square stores; the equivalent of our IGA stores here in Australia.

Later on Judy was also a partner in the Lynfield World Supermarket and in a Glen Eden Delicatessen so her level of interpersonal skills today would have been developed and honed at the coal face in these very public and service oriented businesses.

Judy’s real estate vocation started in 1993 and in 1995 she relocated to Waiheke Island where her career flourished. The absolute commitment to the industry was made when she purchased a Harcourt’s Franchise and became the Licensee and Principal of the Waiheke Property Shop; a practice that was successful for over 6 years before a new profession came calling.

Following the sale of her practice, Judy stepped into an entirely different world as a Wedding Co-ordinator at the Waiheke Island Resort. That experience and background still sweeps her up here on the Gold Coast when the opportunity arises to assist her son, who is a talented and creative photographer.

Judy’s sense of giving back to the community in NZ was through her involvement with the Waiheke Rotary Club, of which she was a Charter Member as well as a former President. Our local community now benefits from Judy’s contribution by way of her participation in charity events that raise funds for Cancer Research.

Her sense of adventure has seen Judy taking every opportunity to explore and discover the delights of South East Queensland as well as other parts of Australia when an occasion presents itself….she has really embraced our way of life.

Cameo’s culture too, has been enriched and enhanced with Judy’s involvement. Her warmth, sense of humour and inner strength supplements the very deep professionalism that she brings to her role here; Judy has endeared herself to all that come in touch with Cameo….New Zealand’s loss has certainly been Cameo’s gain.
